Mt Lyford Ski Area & Alpine Resort

Mt Lyford is a family owned and operated ski area cosidered a hidden mountain paradise in North Canterbury and the most coastal ski area in New Zealand. We have a brilliant terrain mix accessible from our 6 lifts. The beginners' area is super wide with a gentle pitch also with snow tubing luge, & there are ample intermediate trails with lots of wide open spaces and fun bowly terrain and very family friendly in the sun, or for the adavanced the Lower & Upper Terako rope tows offer amazing terrain taking you to the top of the mountain and amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. Front Face is a must. Parking is slope side & you can a picnic while you watch the team in the snow a real kiwi experience. Lessons, ski hire and cafe are also available.
