Lake Heron Air is no ordinary scenic flying service. Our base is on Lake Heron Station - our large family-owned sheep property. Travelling to us takes you well away from the beaten tourist track and into a ruggedly beautiful part of NZ. The mountains are on our doorstep and when you take off from our airstrip the first peaks you fly over are all part of our property's backyard. Mt Cook, Fox and Franz Joseph Glaciers and glaciated wilderness areas are all only a short flight away. And once you've seen our mountains from the air, stay for a picnic, feed the pet sheep over the fence and enjoy the exclusivity of the station's 20,000 hectares.
