Highlands Farmstay combines the remoteness of a high country farm with well-appointed accommodation options to suit everyone. Located just 5 kilometres from Twizel in the Mackenzie Region, it offers a unique farmstay experience on a beautiful 75-acre farm. Animals include Highland cattle, goats, alpacas, chickens and sheep.
Choose from two Shepherd’s Huts, the Merino Cottage or the Executive Barn – all units have outdoor bathtubs, and modern facilities essential for a relaxing stay. Hand-feed the friendly farm animals during the day, enjoy a relaxing soak in an outdoor bathtub then admire the dazzling stars of the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve by night. Just a 45 minute drive to Aoraki/Mount Cook or Lake Tekapo.
